About the dermatology clinic
The clinic offers dermatological services related to diagnostics and treatment of allergy-, bacteria-, virus-, cancer- or genetically mediated skin diseases. Specialist consultations also include such conditions as acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, psoriasis, fungal infections of the skin and nails, seborrheic and atopic dermatitis, allergic and autoimmune diseases and diseases of the sweat glands. We also receive patients with albinism, shingles and sexually transmitted diseases.
At the clinic we perform comprehensive diagnostic examinations, such as skin biopsy for histopathological and immunohistochemical tests, dermatoscopic examinations, skin prick tests, epidermal tests and mycological examinations. In collaboration with the general surgery clinic, we also perform minor outpatient procedures, such as excisions of suspicious skin lesions. Prior to each removal of a skin lesion, we perform a dermatoscopic examination and all removed skin lesions are subjected to a histopathological examination.
