About the Surgical Oncology Clinic

At the Surgical Oncology Clinic we receive patients for diagnostic examination and treatment of cancers of the breasts, skin and subcutaneous tissue, thyroid, gastrointestinal tract, skeletal system, reproductive organs and the urinary system. Before the patients are referred for surgery or hospitalisation, they undergo all the necessary diagnostic examinations; they are also provided with full care and check-ups after the treatment. Furthermore, a number of minor procedures are performed at the clinic on an outpatient basis, e.g. removal of suspicious naevi.

We also have extensive prevention programme in place. The team consists of outstanding specialists in the field of surgical oncology, reconstructive surgery and general surgery, and the treatment applied is consistent with the advancement of the disease and modern knowledge.

We have at our disposal the latest diagnostic techniques for detecting cancer, such as vacuum-assisted breast biopsy and fine- and core needle biopsy. We work in interdisciplinary teams and we get the expert opinion of other specialists if necessary, which speeds up the diagnosis and facilitates the choice of treatment.
